An edgy and elegant luxury fine-art jewellery brand, Emer Roberts Design’s aesthetic evolved with Emer’s exploration of our fellow mammal—the rat. Her unusual, multi-award winning Wearable Biology designs are the culmination of the artist’s exploration of this mammal species through various sculptural and mould-making processes over the last twelve years. With a Masters in Fine Art Sculpture (NCAD), Emer gradually transitioned from a large scale sculptural process to a luxury fine-art jewellery brand.

Receiving Studio Support with a Future Makers Award in 2022, Emer went on to win the prestigious RDS Craft Award 2023. The Nouveau Jaw Statement Neck Piece was shown at the international art fair COLLECT London, with the Design & Crafts Council Ireland’s PORTFOLIO Critical Selection 2021-2022, a biennial publication and exhibition of leading Irish contemporary design and craft. Shown previously at the Irish Pavilion Dubai Expo 2021, Emer’s neck piece was awarded the 2021 Accessories Designer of the Year Award in the Fashion and Textiles category with the Institute of Designers Ireland (IDI).

Winning the IDI Award in 2019 for her Wearable Biology — Tail Collection, (and commended for her Architectural Collection) the Dublin-based designer was presented, in the same week, with the Best Product Award in the Jewellery category at Showcase 2019 for her Zipper Link Ring - inspired by her passion for architecture and love of Art Deco design. She followed on to win Jewellery Designer of the Year 2019 with the Irish Fashion Innovation Awards.

The jewellery brand launched in 2017 at Showcase Ireland where Emer won Best Product Award with her architectural and art deco inspired fine jewellery.
